{In Character;;}
Name;; Astrum Obtutus is her full name, but she is called Acumen.
Gender;; Female.
Age;; 4 years.
Species;; Iberian wolf.
Personality;; Acumen is warm and caring in a passive, receptive way. She is given to daydreaming and to contemplation, a combination that can make her seem curiously absent and fey. She is among the most unworldly of all wolves. Despite this she has a strong ability for clear, rational thinking that can be startling. She seems to have a deep, intuitive understanding of the oneness of the universe. Acumen has a desire to help the world at large and is aware of and sensitive to suffering. This is partly because she does not recognize the customary boundaries between wolves, other living things, time, space, this world and the Otherworld. She is psychic. Acumen can be brilliantly original and highly creative. Acumen is usually regarded by others as a benign eccentric or as plain weird.
Appearance;; Acumen is the color of the night-time sky, with silver markings on her belly, the top of her neck and head, her face, tail, and forepaws. There is a silver crescent moon on the top of her tail. There is a golden atom marking on her left flank, and she has shining golden eyes. Her nose and claws are the same sparkling gold. On her right shoulder she has gold Canguran runes that mean, “Star Gazer.” Here is a picture I drew of her:
Abilities?;; Acumen has psychic abilities, and is very sensitive to the feelings of those around her.
History;; Acumen does not know her mother or father, and has little to no memory of her childhood. She made her way to the Lux'aramque pack when she was two years of age, following the glittering stars above. They became her passion, and the wise wolves of the Lux’aramque recognized her as a descendant by her silver and gold coat and her love of the stars. This intense passion only guided her down the path of knowledge, and she became oddly intelligent and wise for such a young age. One factor that contributed to this was her newfound psychic abilities; by peering into her elders’ minds she learned more of the past, and gained a better idea of what lied in the future.
Desired Pack;; Alphaness of the Lux’aramque.
{Codeword?;;} Riot. Hehe, I read the rules.
{Roleplay Example;;} The morning came, pale and silent. Eastward, the sun was rising out of the mists that lay thick over the land. The kiss of a gentle breeze brushed against the autumn trees, rustling their slender golden branches. Admiring the sun, Acumen sat atop a slope sprinkled with burgundy leaves. Though everything in the world seemed peaceful and just, she could not help but feel uneasy. Something about the morning disturbed her, but she did not yet know what.
Leaping gracefully off the slope, she trotted back to her siblings. The Twins were curled around each other, warding off the wind’s chilly bite. Amaraque was not present. Xazin was still, gazing solemnly at the sunrise. Acumen narrowed her eyes suspiciously, and walked faster.
Xazin was hardly ever still or quiet; never both.
As Acumen approached, her younger sister glanced at her only briefly, then turned back to the golden sun. Sitting next to her, Acumen said, “What is it? Are you ill? Is something bothering you?” Xazin did not take her wide eyes off the sunrise, which now broke brilliantly above the treetops, bathing them in its golden rays. “Xazin?” Acumen looked to the sun. Her heart sank, and her eyes widened. “This is not good. Come, now.” Turning to her younger brothers, Acumen barked sharply, “Kape! Kalc! Quickly, rouse, we must leave immediately.” Sleepily, the two brothers rose, shaking the leaves from their coats. “It’s cold. And we-” Kape started, and Kalc continued, “Just fell asleep again. Why did-” “You wake us up?” Acumen was already howling to Amaraque, urging his prompt return. “Look.” She said simply, nodding to the horizon as she nervously pranced about.
A group of thirteen wolves were at the foot of the forest, rapidly approaching. Acumen could plainly see Xannov and Uxxin at the head, as well as smell their coats. Amaraque burst from the tall grasses, startling everyone. “Sorry. What is it Acu?” Acumen, starting to trot too the west, said, “It’s them. We need to try and cross to Shiko island before the tide rises. If we can make it, we should have enough time to warn the others, and prepare.” “And if we don’t?” Amaraque questioned. “Let’s not think about that...” Leading her four siblings, Acumen broke out into a run toward the rapidly closing land bridge that connected Shiko island to the Mainland, howling an alarm to the rest of her pack.
Their enemies, the Forsaken, were attacking.
