Stone Memories ;; The Ruins At the very center of Istlamyth, just over a ridge from the Testament tree, stand mysterious stone ruins, graced with strange symbols carved into their surface. They are huge, monolithic rocks - some lie toppled, but at least a few of the obelisks still stand tall. No one knows for sure where they came from. That doesn't stop wolves from creating rumors and legends surrounding them. They've been there longer than anyone can remember, and one thing is for sure - there's something strange about this place. |

Swathed in Shadow ;; The Burnlands - 1 Viewing After these lands were deserted, a fire swept through at some point. Some say Steel was somehow behind it. Others blame lightning or loners. Regardless, the lands never regained their life. Everything is eerie and still here - the blackened trunks of trees still stand, and light rarely seems to penetrate the foggy, strange atmosphere that permeates this place. |

Bracken and Thorn ;; The Mires This area of tangled, brushy flatland is vast. Once, it was a thriving wetland. Now, the water is stagnant and brackish, and the plants that grow here are twisted and struggling to survive. Still, there is some fresh water, which makes its way in from the river, as well as grassy, raised areas. Small prey such as rabbits can be found on the edges occasionally, although for the most part the mires are misty and silent. |

Testament ;; Meeting Tree - 1 Viewing In all of the nomadic lands, there are few bright points. This is one of them - The Testament Tree. This enormous white oak grows on a small, grassy hill littered with boulders and stone slabs. Small, silvery-white flowers peek from the grass, and the air is clearer here, clear enough to see the stars. This is where The Council may meet to conduct important business, or wolves may come to be alone with their thoughts and perhaps meet wolves from different legions. The Testament once stood guard over the warring packs of Istlamyth. Now it stands as a sentinel over them all, and as a reminder of their forgotten pact. |

Rinse ;; The Battlefield The river takes a detour through neutral lands here, and a section of it splits off, running incredibly shallow. Barely deeper than your paws, the water rushes with great speed over a bar of pebbles and sand. This is the traditional battleground of the packs. Fights take place on the wide, flat shore, but often end up in the water. Take care not to stray too far, near the center is a sudden drop off where the water becomes very deep and fast. Those that fall into the channel here would likely drown. Fights may concern rank, duels, or simply training matches. further up the bank the land rises, permitting those observing and judging the battle to watch from a safe distance. |

Rebirth;; The Tanglewood Bordering the burnlands and mires is the Tanglewood. This place is slowly coming back to life after years of neglect from nature. The tree trunks are twisted, and vines choke the ground, but at least there is greenery. In clearings, soft grass and wildflowers can be found. This is probably the best place in the neutral lands to hunt, as well as a fairly pleasant place to explore and see new faces, or simply seek shelter for one's self. Take care, though - the forsaken also roam these lands, and the pact would not stop them from spilling blood if they so chose. |
