Full Name;; Teslari
Preferred Name;; Tesla (Nickname is Tez, but watch out. Few get away with calling him this).
Title;; Teslari, Moon Pack Sentinel
Age;; 2.5 years
Gender;; Male
Pack;; Moon
Rank;; Sentinel
Mate;; None for now
Offspring;; n/a
Breed;; Russian Wolf/Grey Wolf
Appearance;; Tesla is smallish for a male, but that could easily be due to his young age - not even three yet, he's still got that scrawny, gangly, "youngster" look to him. Beneath that are the beginnings of a strong wolf - his body is evenly balanced, and he's starting to build muscle.
Tez is a silvery grey wolf, with the colour darkening on his legs, ears, shoulders and tail. His eyes are a cold, steely blue, and most often hardened with one intense mood or another.
Picture;;
Personality;; Tez isn't the most mentally balanced individual around. That's not to say he's crazy - though some might. He's not quite insane, but he does tend to jump quickly from one emotion to the next, all of them rather intense. He's an ambitious wolf, though he lacks direction - he wants to achieve something, but he doesn't quite know what.
He can certainly be unfriendly at times, but that's just because of his mood swings. Unfortunately, others tend to stay at a distance, both because of his reputation and his frequent attitudes. Without much of a role model, Tes is still rather lacking in moral foundation. He's not evil by any means, but he's a little too willing to cross lines and cut corners in some situations. At heart he really doesn't want to do anything wrong or cause anyone harm, but his emotions and aimless ambitions can sometimes get the better of him.
Traits;; Teslari is smart, ambitious, and cunning. He's good at reasoning out solutions to difficult problems, but poor at staying level-headed enough to actually carry out that solution most of the time. In essence, he is a creature who's heart is in conflict.
Strengths;; Intelligence, determination, out-of-the-box thinker
Weaknesses;; Lack of direction, distrust, no control over his emotions (and letting his emotions control him a little too much).
Fears;; Heights, fire, never finding a meaningful connection with someone.
History;; Teslari's mother was a loner. His father was arguably a loner to - a member of the Moon pack, Cade lived his life on the fringes. He was a hunter for the pack, and thus spent much of his time away from pack life, tracking the patterns and migration of prey across all of Istlamyth. He took his job seriously - simply killing prey close at hand wasn't good enough. Cade wanted to understand how the prey moved, so that the Moon pack would always be able to venture out and find food. As much as 2/3 of his time any given year saw him wandering the No-mans' lands, rather than the Moon's own territory. Even when he was in his homeland, Cade preferred to keep to himself.
And so, it made sense for him to fall for a loner female rather than another Moon, like himself. Lyric was a Steel exile, and originally she and Cade avoided eachother. Over time, they grew used to one another's presence in the wilds, and eventually grew to tolerate one another in close proximity. The two took to traveling and hunting together, and before long fell in love. Cade never asked Lyric why she'd been banished from Steel, and she never told him. It didn't matter - to him, she was perfect. Strong, intelligent, and beautiful, she was Cade's world. He spent even less time with the Moons, returning to the pack lands only to deliver prey or give reports.
Winter passed, and with spring, Lyric's belly swelled until 3 pups were born. Two were a soft, tawny grey, like their father. Only the middle pup, a male, bore Lyric's stormy silver coat. She named him Teslari, and the small family prospered that season. Cade's knowledge of the herds and smaller prey meant that there was enough food to feed his mate and cubs, as well as occasionally delivering kills back to the Moons. Cade kept his mate and family a secret from his pack - the unknown secret behind Lyric's banishment haunted him, and her status as an ex-Steel made him apprehensive to reveal her to the Moons.
In the very heat of summer, when the air was still and thick, disaster struck. A rabid loner stumbled into the family's den area while Cade was hunting. Lyric, desperate to protect her young pups, took the loner on. The battle was rough - her strength was matched by his madness and desperation. Two of the pups were killed, and Lyric was badly wounded. Cade returned to find her cowering under a tree, the dead bodies of the loner and two of their children strewn about the clearing in a scene of blood and destruction. Only Teslari, who's darker coat had helped him stay hidden at the back of the den, had been spared from the brutality.
Lyric wept, her heart torn at the knowledge she would have to leave her mate and only surviving son or eventually go mad and risk their lives a second time. Cade, not familiar with rabies, didn't understand, and the two argued, Lyric increasingly desperate. She begged him to take Teslari back to the Moon pack. Cade agreed, on the condition that she would come with them and seek help from the Moon pack's healer. Knowing it would be of no help, but happy he'd finally consented to her wish, Lyric agreed.
The family set out that night, after a small argument about Lyric's insistence that Cade not touch the bodies. Her further refusal to let him lick her wounds clean troubled him, but he let it go, confident the healer would have an answer.
When they arrived to the Moon lands, it caused a stir, and Teslari was handed off to the pack's elderly story teller to watch over while his parents went together to visit the healer. Exhausted from the journey and the trauma of the day, Tez fell asleep, dreaming of angry strangers and red moons.
Cade and Lyric continued on toward the long cliffs at the edge of the sea, where the Moon healer kept his den. It was then that Lyric bolted, rushing headlong toward the precipice. Slower than his mate, even in her injured state, Cade raced to catch her, but was rewarded only with the sight of his beloved mate hurtling herself over the edge into the black waves hundreds of feet below. His startled cry woke those in the Moon pack who were still sleeping, and his continued cries of mourning silenced any questions they had about the strange mate and half-steel pup he'd brought with with him.
When dawn arrived, Cade left the Moon lands once again. Teslari, recently weaned, fell into the care of the storyteller and the rest of the pack. His upbringing was as good as it could have been - his father visited occasionally, and as Tez aged, he took care to teach his son what he could, often taking him on hunting trips. Still, Lyric's loss had scarred Cade's heart, and he was never able to fully open himself to the son that so resembled his dead mate. As Les grew into an adult, his father visited less and less, one day failing to return at all. Teslari went searching and found him at the old den site, apparently having passed in his sleep.
How did you find us?;; I'm teh Bassie.
Roleplay Example;; Neh. You've seen me roleplay. If you want an example, I can provide one, but for now I'm not going to.
Trivia;; Tez may act anti-social, but he'd actually make quite a good mate, if someone would be willing to spend the time and peel back his layers. He's a bit of an onion.
Also, he loves lightening storms. All storms, but especially lightning (as if one couldn't guess from his name).
